Engagement Session in the Rain: Jessica & Adam

I'm so honored to have been able to take Jessica & Adam’s engagement photos!
Jessica and I grew up in the same neighborhood, and along with her sisters, we would play together as kids all the time. I have such fond memories of riding our bikes and scooters, playing on the slip n' slide on hot summer days, trying all kinds of sports, from kickball to croquet, in their grandma's backyard, and so much more. So I’m super excited to get to catch up with her and capture this special time!
On the day of their session, the heavens decided to open up and pour on us, but we chose to power through!
We started in the barn to stay dry, and since their wedding is going to be rustic, this setting went along with that perfectly!
Then we moved over to the homestead's covered porch with the yellow brick. These two were so good at posing, I didn't have to give them much instruction!
After these, I asked them if they would be okay with getting out in the rain. They were great sports and went along with it!
I'm so happy they did because we got some beautiful images in the downpour!
